Donut

Donut is a FEI level dressage, German Warmblood gelding who came to retire when he could no longer preform at the level he needed to. Nothing the owners did or tried could keep him competitively sound. Board was too expensive for retirement and not being able to ride him competitively. Donut is actually a Göttenberg breed; very unique! He came with his passport and all his US and international show records. We are so happy to have this absolutely amazing chestnut at the sanctuary! He is learning that he doesn’t have to live in a stall full time and it is ok to now be out with his friends. This old man has learned to LOVE his stall over the years of competition (and even that is an understatement)! We are slowly breaking him of that and reminding him it is ok to now be a horse.

Donut does require front shoes every 5 weeks to stay sound.
