There is a small family gravesite nestled between and old canopy of trees, which sits on a gently rolling hill, overlooking the homes large pond. It is situated on the south- west side of the home. Sadly, when we took ownership, many of the graves had either succumbed to harsh elements (trees coming down on them from the slew of tornado outbreaks in December 2021), or short lived, prior owners who let the cattle trample and disrespect them. It is in disrepair. We are working diligently to try and recover the headstones and then fence the site. We believe at one point, there was approximately 15 graves within this site. This will take time and cooperative weather, but we will trudge forward! We check weekly on the graves we have since rescued from massive downed trees. These graves mean a lot to us and keeping the memory of this home and farm alive.
