The land and views it offers, fill us with gratitude and a sense of overwhelming calm everyday. These views never get old! The farm is absolutely amazing. There are several out buildings on the property and two main barns; one is the oldest, which is the tobacco barn, it is 125 x 60. The old cattle barn, which is easily 100 years old as well, is being converted in to a 12 stall horse stable. The horse stable is and has been a massive undertaking, one we sincerely never thought would be as bad as it has been! Sadly, we were taken advantage of by a professional con artist who preyed on out of state movers, that took the majority of the money we had set aside for a full remodel on this barn. The money we had set aside, should have easily taken care of everything and then some. But now after having to hire lawyers to track this guy down for a lawsuit, of which he has apparently had more lawsuits brought against him than you can count on two hands (we were his most recent victim), the funds have slowed down. The barn will have to be finished in phases now. We do have phase one complete and are moving to phase two! So that is something and we are thankful for what we have currently; at least it is useable! It my take years, but I will keep updating on the journey! All electrical and plumbing is now done and has been done by licensed professionals out of Lexington. We (owners) have done all the woodworking on the stalls ourselves. All ornate additions have been done and purchased by us personally.
